Scope of Services   

“We”, “us” and “our” as used in this website refers to Palmetto Global Tax Services, LLC, a single-member limited liability company formed in the State of South Carolina in 2021. Palmetto Global Tax Services, LLC prepares U.S. individual income tax returns and related filings. We do not provide representational services before the Internal Revenue Service or any U.S. state or foreign tax authority unless you specifically engage us and we are legally authorized to do so.  Internal Revenue Code Sec. 7525 provides a limited privilege to communications between a federally authorized tax practitioner and a taxpayer, if the communication is for the purpose of securing tax advice with an expectation of confidentiality. Clients who engage Palmetto Global Tax Services, LLC to prepare their returns are automatically provided with Audit Assistance and Identity Theft Restoration services by a third party provider at no additional cost to the client.

The content on our website is for general informational purposes only and is not intended to constitute legal or professional advice.  The information provided will not always be up to date, particularly in the case of blog posts. Electronic Filing

Sometimes the IRS rejects returns that are electronically filed.  If your return is rejected, we will promptly inform you and provide you with an electronic copy of your return in PDF format with instructions on where to file a hard copy.   You should be aware of the risk of electronically filing a return at or near the filing deadline.  We assume no liability for interest or penalties imposed as a result of late filing due to a rejected return.

Record keeping

It is your responsibility to maintain a copy of your tax returns and supporting documents. Palmetto Global Tax Services, LLC will maintain a digital copy of your state and Federal returns for three years from the due date of the return plus any extensions, or the date of actual filing, whichever is later. However, if you request a copy more than three months following the date your return was filed, you will be charged a $75 document retrieval fee.
